The Packers won to move to 8-2 on the year!
Here are the answers to the 3 Questions column from before the game:
- How will the quarterbacks look? Russell Wilson looked pretty rusty. The Seahawks didn’t have him throwing too much (and he couldn’t given the time of possession) and when he did, he was only on point when he had time to set his feet without hurrying. Rodgers, on the other hand, looked fine, physically. His biggest issue was locking on to Adams non-stop. He’s also been a little off with his accuracy lately and taking a week off didn’t fix that. It didn’t look like his stint on the reserve list or his toe impacted him much, though.
- What will the Packers offense line look like? Bakhtiari didn’t make it back, but the line was solid. nonetheless. They gave Rodgers time most plays (even if he held on the ball waiting for Adams too much) and usually made a crease for the running plays. When Bakhtiari comes back, I expect them to be better than solid. Much better.
- Can the Packers cover DK Metcalf? Yes! In fact, they could cover all the receivers. Wilson may not have been at his best, but the Packers secondary, who came up with two picks, was a big reason why. Very good performance. Metcalf’s biggest impact was starting a fight with a minute left because he was tired of getting shut down.
