The Packers got back to .500 last week by spanking the Bears at home.
Now they’re back on the road to face the Buccaneers in blistering humid conditions.
The Packers haven’t fared well against the Bucs recently, but Tampa hasn’t looked quite as dominant this year as in past seasons.
With both teams reeling from injuries, it’s really a wide open game.
Here are the 3 biggest questions that will determine the outcome of the game:
- Who will play? David Bakhtiari has been a weekly question mark and now most of the receiving corps in dealing with some sort of ailment. Oh, and Kenny Clark and Mason Crosby might not be 100% either.
. - Can the Packers keep running? The Packers ran for over 200 yards last week and Aaron Jones is grabbing over 9 yards per carry. With injured receivers and a lot of heat and humidity, can the Packers stick to the run and, more importantly, be effective against a front led by Vita Vea and Devin White?
. - Can Joe Barry defer to the clear and obvious solution? The Packers have played a lot of zone coverage in the secondary this year, leading to pathetic results in Minnesota. Last week, the Saints, with less talented cornerbacks, absolutely clamped the Bucs receivers in man coverage. Tampa’s receiving corps is depleted this week and the Packers cornerbacks are salivating for man lineups. Will Joe Barry do the obvious thing?
